Learning Programming From Scratch
After reading Kev's post on how it's been a year since he switched to Kirby, and how he's learning PHP, I have started wondering:
What programming language do I know from scratch?
I started learning programming from a very young age (more on that in another post) and most of my ventures were into pre-made stuff I just learned from.
The first programming language I learned from scratch that I had no prior knowledge of was C#. I took a 2-semester course on it about 2 years ago.
The course consisted of the basics and later on some object-oriented programming. I've honestly forgotten most of it because I never really actively pursued C#, and I mostly use Linux now.
Nowadays I actively use different programming languages like Go and PHP, but I can never say that I know them from scratch. I always tend to help myself with Copilot and libraries.
I understand all the code I've written, but I just couldn't write it myself.
And that's exactly why I have decided to change that and learn a bit of the basics. Dusan already pointed me in the right direction by showing me how pointers work (you see what I did there). I'm also planning on buying some kind of course (or using a very good one on YouTube, of course) but I honestly have no idea where and what to search for.
So, dear readers, if you have any recommendations on courses I should try, or any other comments on this post, definitely click the button below to reply to this post :)
