In Pursuit Of An Extraordinary Life

Sometimes, I think about what I still haven't done or experienced in life. Bungee jumping, getting drunk, going on a road trip with the boys, getting a driver's license. It's all achievable, but it's still not anything you do daily.

Many people I know in life never really live their lives to the maximum. They never go out of their comfort zone and go with what they are comfortable with. And that's okay, because everyone has their standards of pursuing their life, however not extraordinary they might be.

And while I certainly want to do as much in life as I can. You know - to have stories to tell the grandchildren :)
It's not always possible to do everything. You may try many things you'd never even think about trying in life and fail, but it's all a part of it. It's all a part of making progress, memories learning from your mistakes, and learning about yourself.

I do think if you don't go out and have fun in your teens, you'll never really have time to. In your 20s you go to university and yeah there are parties, especially in the USA, but it's still not the same. As you're getting older, you have more responsibilities and less time to be free and truly have fun.

Some people may not like going out at all and not regret it at all. But I'm certain that if I weren't to go out right now in my teens I would regret it later on. And I can never know where I will be in a few years. Yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery.

In life, you pursue what makes you happy. You may fail, or you may succeed, but it's important that you focus on what you love and never lose faith in doing what makes you happy. You don't have to feel pressured to do what everyone else around you is doing. You have to discover yourself and pursue yourself.

Sometimes we are so focused on what we want to achieve that we don't look around and realize that everything is already perfect. Desire can make or break you. It can motivate you to achieve something extraordinary, but it can also bring you down from living a normal life.

That's why life isn't all about pursuing the extraordinary. It's about being truly happy with what you have and want and progressing.
