Can you believe this is the 101st blost on this website? I can't believe it either!
Since starting to write blosts way back in 2021, I never expected I'd write half a book, even now it sounds so ludicrous.
After seeing Kev's stats page, I sent him a message asking about the inner workings. Since he also uses Kirby for his website, he sent me his template, which I just modified to fit my website.
Essentially, what the template does is count up the number of posts and calculate the average number of words in all blog posts. It also calculates how many words I've written and compares it to the average length of a book (about 70,000).
Then, it also renders a chart to display the number of posts by year.
I also added the first and longest post, which is fun to see.
It wasn't hard to add the stats since Kev did most of the heavy lifting; I just modified it to fit my needs. But in the future, I plan on modifying it a bit and maybe adding even more statistics about poems and other stuff.
I will see, though, there are many things I have in mind for this website, but I don't want it to have too many pages. But what I'm planning on is adding a guestbook, though I need to figure out the inner workings and moderation to be able to add it properly.
