#100PoemsToOffload?
Recently I've had a new idea come to mind.
A few years ago, I found out about 100DaysToOffload. (Funnily enough, this post is part of it!). If you've never heard of it, it is a challenge for a fellow blogger Kev Quirk to write 100 posts in a year.
Now, a few weeks ago, another fellow blogger, Amin, started work on a new project dedicated to doing a similar thing but more for poetry and novels called Writing Month. He hasn't finished it yet, but it's due to be released sometime around November.
The biggest difference, though, between them, is that Writing Month does all kinds of challenges. Here is a list of what Amin plans to have:
- Novel Writing Month - 50,000 words
- Novella Writing Month - 20,000 words
- Short Story Writing Month - 5 stories of at least 2,000 words each
- Poetry Writing Month - 1 poem per day
- Blog Post Writing Month - 1 blog post per day
- Graphic Novel Writing Month (maybe?) - a 50-page graphic novel
My idea was to mix these two concepts into one, simpler one dedicated to just poems. The timeframe of writing the poems (1 year) would ideally be the same as 100DaysToOffload, but instead of writing blog posts, you write poems.
Let me know if this is a good idea by @mentioning me on Mastodon or clicking the button below :)
This was Day 22 of #100DaysToOffload!
